Academy award-winning actor, Tom Hanks admits to having Coronavirus, he was tested positive alongside his wife Rita Wilson.
He said that himself and his wife had observed some symptoms that included tiredness, cold and body ache.
The actor and his wife are presently in Australia, where he was about to shoot a movie on the life of Elvis Presley.
“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches,” He said in a statement “Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers, too.

To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”
According to Tom Hanks, they will be placed on observation and isolation for safety purposes “will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.”
This 63-year-old couple are not the first public figure to have texted with positive case as cases the disease keeps rising.
“Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?” Mr. Hanks wrote in a post which he shared on Instagram “We’ll keep the world posted and updated.”
Some Hollywood stars have taken to social media to wish them quick recovery.
“Wishing two of the kindest, coolest, most talented people in the world @tomhanks & @RitaWilson a swift recovery,” Mia Farrow wrote on twitter.
The movie about Elvis Presley is set to begin on Monday.
The studio shooting the movie, Warner Bros., said it has been “over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and the loss of innocence in America.”
The studio also talked about the health and safety of it’s company members in a statement : “The health and safety of our company members is always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world,”
The studio had been affected by the spread of Coronavirus due to it’s large television production division and the production of a teenage drama “Riverdale” has been suspended.
In a statement concerning the suspension of the teenage drama “Riverdale” Warner said : “We have and will continue to take precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world,”
Tom Hanks and his wife continues to receive good wishes from friends and families, with prayers that they recover quickly.
